Hot Guys Reading Books

There's pretty much nothing hotter to me than an attractive dude reading a good book. Blamo! My undies are instantly wet. Srsly. It's pretty much the reason I work at a bookstore. Yes, I love books and I love to talk about them but really I love to flirt with hot dudes who ask me for recommendations or just ogle them while they flip through The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. Whoa is right.

So when my friend sent me a link to Hot Guys Reading Books I almost fell out of my chair. And then I spent a long, long time looking through it. There's a little sampling below to wet your whistle.

I don't even care what the book is. Hello!

Obviously European, no? Wish I could tell what he was reading.

That's a saucy little smirk, my friend. I like.

Loafers! Would totally approach this dude and strike up a convo about whatever he's reading. Hope it's not Eat, Pray, Love.

HGRB says he was reading a Harry Potter book. Get in my pants!

Heinlein, nice. You can be a stranger in my strange land any day.

Check out the blog and send in pics of your boyfriend reading so I can fantasize about him too.

Super Bangable

So I've just started watching that tv show Heroes (i know, what year is it?! 2004?!) and last night, as i leisurely lounged in front of the tv, my sister asked me which super power I would want out of all the super powers on the show.  This question got me thinking about super hot super hereos and which ones were bangable and which ones I would rather not see in tights.  I tend to always move important philosophical discussions towards the topic of sex, it's my super power.

Here's my list of Movie/TV Versions of Super Heroes That I would Totally Bang:

Batman

Definitely Michael Keaton (back in the day yo), definitely Christian Bale, probably George Clooney (a classic move) and maybe if I've had a few glasses of wine, Val Kilmer.
But most definitely Bruce Wayne.

Wolverine

Australians and sideburns have never been this sexy together.

Superman

RIP to the motherfucking classic.

Iron Man

Yes Robert Downey, Jr.  I will totally bang you.

Knight Rider

Would I bang back-in-the-day David Hasselhoff?
Sie wetteten doucheland!

The Human Torch

HOT.
I don't know your name, generic good looking actor, but I'd hit it.

Manimal

you bet your fucking ass

And here's a list of Movie/TV Versions of Super Heroes I Would Totally Give A Fake Number To:

Spiderman

Two words: Tobey Maguire
or one word: spiders
or this word: gross

Bibleman

I bet the sex is just awful.

Captain Nice

You mean Captain Nice Cameltoe

Who are your super bangable super heroes?

Project Runway Bitches!

We're about four episodes into the new season of Project Runway! If you don't watch it, you should. I have some shit to talk right now so Spoiler Alerts ahead matey!

First off WTF is up with Crybaby Johnny Sakalis (aka Meth Dude)? Yeah I know he's a recovering addict and has some shit he needs to work out but the editing makes it look like he freaks out about everything! It's what? Season 6 now? Homeballs should know what he's in for by now don't you think? The challenges are hard buddy.

Oh and sorry to sound like Perez Hilton but having crazypants Lyndsey Lohan as your celebrity judge on the first episode? The first episode of your new season on a new channel no less? Uh?

Also check out cutie River Phoenix-look-alike Logan Neitzel! Too bad his designs are a little boring and he speaks like a robot. Dude needs to stop paying so much attention to his peen machine and more on his designs.

And thankfully Crystal is finally gone. Her designs looked like something you’d see at the Clearwater Senior Center cafeteria.

My friends and I always do a pool for Project Runway each season, we pick our top 3 after the 3rd episode and then an ultimate winner out of the top 3 and we all put in $5. Whoever picks the correct top 3/winner gets all the money.

My top 3 for this season are:
Althea
Gordana
Carol Hannah

my winner is Althea.

We'll see how it goes.....

Is Sex Interesting?

I just finished reading this essay by Wallace Shawn published in the August 2009 issue of Harper's Magazine titled "Is Sex Interesting?"

The 64-year old Shawn makes several good points about the need for talking, writing, and thinking about sex. This paragraph, in particular, specifically stuck out to me as a great example of the importance of sexuality and its discussion in society:

When the sexuality of the terrifying people we call "our leaders" is for some reason revealed, they lose some of their power - sometimes all of it - because we're reminded (and strangely, we need reminding) that they are merely creatures like the ordinary worm or beetle that creeps along at the edge of the pond. Sex really is a nation of its own. Those whose allegiance is given to sex at a certain moment withdraw their loyalty temporarily from other powers. It's a symbol of the possibility that we might all defect for one reason or another from the obedient columns in which we march.

Sex is anarchism!

Sadly you cannot read the full essay on the Harper's Magazine website without being a subscription holder but I did find a reprint of Shawn's piece online at the Guardian.

So what's the verdict to Shawn's title question, Is Sex Interesting?

Yes, yes it is.

Potter Hotties

I just saw the new Harry Potter movie (Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince) with my mom. Is it just me, or have some of those child actors that the world literally watched grow up, gotten wicked hot? Let's take for example, Rupert Grint, better known as Ron Weasley.

Maybe it is just my general love for gingers but even with this awful Dorothy Hamill hair cut I would still hit it.

While Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) himself does nothing for me, I was happy to see his teen nemisis, Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) has gotten all tall and skinny, just like I like 'em!

Heeeellllooooo teen wizards!

Don't judge, even nerds need eye candy.
